Palm Pilot Stylus: Quills of the New Age

Have you ever seen a guy standing upright, holding what appears to be a remote control, and writing on it with what appears to be a ball point pen? Chances are he's not writing down his name on his remote control, but rather doing some tasks on his personal digital assistant, which in vernacular is often referred to as Palm Pilot.
Palm Pilots, or to be more precise, Personal Digital Assistants, are basically electronic devices geared to function no different from that of a hardcopy organizer or filofax, and also come with nifty features as well. The etymology of the "Palm Pilot" name hails from the first generation of electronic personal digital assistants from Palm, which was the Pilot series. The Pilot from Palm came out in 1996, and because of its popularity, its name has become the "title" it is today.
These days, with the fast development and release rate of technology, palm pilots come in various shapes and sizes, imbedded with alls sorts of features, which are geared to make user's days easier. Some classes of palm pilots come with integrated digital cameras, which could easily take videos and still images. Some palm pilots are geared to work as mobile phones, negating the need to carry an extra device when one is mobile and on-the-go.
But even with
all the many features found in palm pilots, one of the most distinct thing about palm pilots nowadays would be the touch screen feature, aided with the use of a stylus, which are basically items designed to work with the touch screen functionality of a personal digital assistant. Most bundled stylus types are basically "small sticks", which are used in navigating through one's palm pilot.
For those out there looking for more functional classes of stylus types, Palm offers add-on stylus packages, which are sure to bring about one's PDA navigation to higher heights. Packaged differently for the use of the many types of Palm's Personal Digital Assistant line, one nice thing about these stylus packages is the fact that these double as pens or mechanical pencils, making them more than just items geared for navigation aids in handling personal digital assistants.
There is a stylus package for Palm's Treo line, for Palm's Zire and Palm's LifeDrive series, as well as a "generic stylus package" for use of various models of Palm's products.
If you are the type who prefers using multifunctional items, these stylus packages are just the thing for you and your personal digital assistant.
