Digital Organizers: One of the Many Palm Pilot Parts

Gone are the days when one could only see "advanced and futuristic" handheld devices on Star Trek, as today, such technological marvels could be found at almost around every corner we walk on. Vernacularly labeled as the palm pilot, the personal digital assistant is one of the actively prevailing electronic devices which many have come to love today. But what is it? What do these items serve to do? Read on and find out.
In 1996 the first generation of Palm's handheld equipment came out, labeled as the Palm Pilot. It was basically a personal digital assistant, meaning it was, and still is, an electronic organizer, which users could use in jotting down dates and other to-do tasks and obligations. Its popularity boosted it up, becoming the etymology source for the handle being applied to personal digital assistants today, as well as paved the way for the development of more advanced, more multifunctional palm pilots.
As electronic equipment, parts are quite varied, as they are multifunctional devices, some integrated with features which define them as such. That of an electronic personal organizer would be the most basic of parts, living up to the roots of its origins. Mobile phone, digital camera, and portable workstation would be other parts, which basically depend on which type of personal digital assistant one would get for his or her own use.

Mobile Phone
One of the most common of parts played by palm pilots nowadays would be that of mobile phones. Palm pilots integrated with the capacity to handle mobile phone communications basically serve users one special feature: negating them from the need to bring their mobile phones as well as their personal digital assistants. Also, with palm pilots as mobile phones, one could easily handle electronic communications with no hassles at all, with caller ID features, messaging features, and the ever popular SMS features of mobile phones.
As Digital Camera
Digital Cameras would be another of the many parts powerfully played by personal digital assistants. Certain classes of PDAs come integrated with digital cameras, negating the need for users to bring digital cameras along with them. They are quite nifty items to have.
As Portable Workstations
Portable Workstation would be another of the many parts, which basically allows users to do work on them, wherever they may be. One could send emails, or write memos, or even write documents on one's PDA, defining them as portable workstations.
So there you have it, the most basic of parts played by almost all palm pilots out in the market today. Other parts would include that of portable movie player, portable music player and portable storage devices for electronic data.
